Presented by Brian Dillard (Pathfinder Associates). This session will examine the ways in which standards bodies, browser vendors and library/plug-in authors are shaping the future of our foundational web technologies - and how individual developers can participate in that process.

Comments

Very disappointing session. Despite the opening disclaimer that there would be no code reviewed, the title suggests hands-on, in-depth code discussion/review and that's what I was hoping for.

Also, Brian speaks very, very fast!

I did like hearing about future standards possibilities (CSS Object Model, etc.)

Not exactly code-heavy, but that's not needed for the last session of the last day. Very engaging presenter trying to wrap heads around the jumbled toybox of js libraries.

Not so much about what to do specifically rather than which thing to pick up and use.

Interesting look at how web evolves. I haven't thought that non-standard stuff is the innovation driving force.
