If you had five minutes on stage what would you say? What if you only got 20 slides and they rotated automatically after 15 seconds? Would you pitch a project? Launch a web site? Teach a hack? We'll find out during Ignite SF at Web 2.0 Expo SF.

Very uneven, but Christian Crumlish, the Robot guy, and the Instructables woman rocked, and Kathy Sierra was awesome.

Having the Ignite talks in Moscone (last year), while maybe less "fun" I think overall lent to a better environment if you actually wanted to hear the talks. Of course, having more convenient access to alcohol was definitely a good thing... since quality is variable (as always). Luckily the timer means people have to get offstage so it never gets as bad as it could.

My favs: Xian, Robots, Kathy, Lane

I thought, "it's only a few blocks, I'll walk there". Next thing, I'm wandering alone through the Tenderloin at dusk. Oops!

I know, it's a typical SF newbie trap... but hey, not all Web 2.0 Expo attendees are lucky enough to live there :)
