Presented by Erika Hall (Mule Design). Effective language is essential to a usable, appealing, platform-independent interface.

Really great presentation. A lot of reality check on how users need to be addressed in the interface copy. I will for sure start applying more appropriate language in my user interface and remove the "Submit" button theory from my practice. :)

This presentation was a timely reminder for me to use natural, engaging language in my upcoming redesign projects.

Chad's Haphazard notes: Copy as Interface

I thought this was the best session I attended all day. Great presenter, very thoughtful and smart. Anyone who quotes Orwell's Politics and the English Language gets plaudits from me.

I also loved this presentation. It was really simple stuff that makes a huge difference.... and the presentation was so well done.
