About: Q&A
======================
-Is social software autistic?
>YES
-Does it have to be that way?
>NO
-Can you show us how to make it real?
>Certainly. We get lots of lovely fluid social interaction in the real world. Everyday. We take it for granted. Its our birthright really. Yet. We go online and its clunky and awkward. At best. Often characteristically autistic. And it gets a bit wearing after a time. Not nearly as rewarding or as pleasurable as the real thing.
-Does it have to be this way?
>Not if we solve TRIPs: the 'hard problems' of trust, reputation, identity and privacy online. In a socially intelligent manner.
-Hmmm. TRIPs overlaid on the internet? In a way that really works for both? But that'd make for a truly social web?
>Precisely.
-When's it due.
>That's one of many secrets. In the meantime we've come up with what we think is an entertaining tagline... "we are bringing you the greatest advance in social lubrication since the discovery of alcohol".
-Are you Irish?
>Why do you ask? Are you offering to buy me a drink?
