Adil Kodian
About: I am the Manager of Web Technologies for the City of Edmonton.
By training I am an Electrical Engineer and a TRLabs scholar. (Ph.D. University of Alberta, Electrical Engineering.) I then decided to change track from Network Engineering and now work in the Information Technology area.
I direct technology strategy, architecture and product and development direction for web applications and web sites owned by the City of Edmonton. I am particularly intrigued by a lack of a business case for the use of social networking and web 2.0 for municipal or provincial level governments. Anyone else in the same area? Please give me a buzz at the conference.

Hi Adil, I am working on some web opportunities for the City of Oakland. While not social networking directly, I goo am surprised by the lack of business case. Not sure about Edmonton, but it is really, REALLY (did I say really?) hard to get municipal governments interested (or maybe find the time?) for this. Would like to chat, if not before end of conference, maybe online?
