About: I'm the CEO of FAROO, a Peer-to-peer Web Search Engine.
The users are connecting their computers, building a worldwide, distributed web search engine. No centralized index and crawler are required anymore. Every web page visited is automatically included in the distributed index of the p2p search engine. FAROO uses an attention based ranking.
Currently we are combining the two mega trends Social Networks and Search , we try to harness the wisdom of crowds and network effects for search:
