Kotkin is the co-founder of BigString and has served as the Chief Operating Officer since its inception on October 8, 2003, and as Secretary since August 17, 2005. He oversees all the daily business operations of the company as well as research and the strategic growth of new company technology.

The New York City native began his business relationship with co-founder Darin Myman while the two worked at LiveInsurance.com, the first internet insurance brokerage agency. While at LiveInsurance.com, he led new business development, worked on both personal and small and medium sized business accounts, established interagency relations with various insurance companies, and maintained the corporate property and casualty license in over 40 US states. He moved on to Insurancegenie.com, where he oversaw new business development and sales for the online insurance pioneer. He then began the strategic planning for BigString, while maintaining a fulltime job as a paralegal in the law firm of Swidler, Berlin, Shereff & Friedman, LLP, leaving the paralegal profession when the business plan for BigString was ready to be implemented..

Adam is a graduate of New York University with a BA in Economics as well as the prestigious Bronx High School of Science. His hobbies include keeping up with the latest technogy traveling skiing, swimming, golf, and tennis. He lives in Manhattan.
