George T. LeBrun

About:

George T. LeBrun is currently the Chief Strategy Officer/GM of the O’Reilly Insight Group.

Mr. LeBrun is also the founder and CEO of Rule 13, a firm which focuses on helping companies assess and re-align their business rules, strategies, and innovation methodologies for the “experience economy.” Much of the company’s work relates to emerging trends & technologies, Web 2.0 applications, social media, new advertising platforms and methodologies, as well as multi-platform digital content development and distribution. Clients include Accenture & Best Buy.

Mr. LeBrun is the former President of Performance Monitor, LLC, a market research firm specializing in field performance measurement of large professional services firms, including systems integrators and outsourcing firms. Clients included Accenture, IBM, Oracle, Deloitte, HP, Infosys, Kraft Foods, and Sara Lee. Mr. LeBrun is also the founder and past President of Lightstorm Media, a specialized consulting company for celebrity clients, corporations and entertainment companies such as Miramax Films, Turner Broadcasting, Miramax TV, and Chicken Soup for the Soul Enterprises.

Mr. LeBrun is the former Chief Marketing Officer & EVP of Business Development for Digital Standard, Inc., a mobile entertainment company with a breakthrough interactive platform for mobile communications, m-commerce and digital content. Mr. LeBrun’s prior experience includes being the founder and CEO of VOX4, a media & communications company, which held over 200 licenses to some of the most powerful media companies in the world including: Disney/The Jim Henson Co, Ozzy Osbourne, Universal Music Group, Marilyn Monroe, NASCAR drivers, and many more. VOX4 was also the vendor of choice for Universal Music Group and their various labels.

Prior to VOX4, Mr. LeBrun also served as the Chief Strategy Officer as well as the interim Chief Marketing Officer for IPNetwork.com, a destination portal for the sale and licensing of intellectual property, which was funded by Steve Schwarzman of Blackstone Group.

Mr. LeBrun has also worked as a writer/producer/director for 20 years. He has written and directed films that have aired on HBO, TNT, and Cinemax. He has also written daytime TV for Dick Clark as well as other television shows and worked in development for Ron Howard and Brian Grazer at Imagine Entertainment. Mr. LeBrun was hired as convergent media consultant by Miramax TV to work with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck on “Project Greenlight” for HBO. He has worked in production on ABC’s “thirtysomething” as well as the Academy, Grammy, and Emmy Awards.

Mr. LeBrun speaks nationally on social media, marketing, and branding. He was a recent speaker at Stanford University and is a contributing author of Mobile Persuasion: 20 Perspectives on the Future of Behavior Change, published by Stanford University in 2007. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America. He also holds a law degree and sits on the Advisory Board to the University of Texas School of Business SA. He is also a member of the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences and a judge of the 11th & 12th Annual Webby Awards.
