Crap: I just missed the deadline to submit a BOF
Posted Saturday, April 19, 12:08AMOh well, 12:08 AM, so I missed the deadline by 8 minutes. Maybe they will let it slide, but the website would not let me submit.
Here was my proposal:
Databases drive most Web 1.0 applications, but what about Web 2.0? What are the choices? Online? Offline? What are the architectures? What are the data formats? Do I roll my own, or use a hosted service? What is the security model? How does it scale? Are there cross-domain issues?
The list of questions goes on and on. There are several companies and even stealthy startups that are developing solutions. There are also some options that deploy on top of traditional databases to provide an AJAX layer.
I propose that anyone interested in discussing these hot topics should get together and have at it.

Luckily, there's no deadline to submit sessions to the Open. Why don't you try to round up some people for this. Open grid signups start Wednesday at 9am.
Yep, I'll do that!
