Cool term. I've never heard anything called we-media or wedia before. What's the definition? And who are the industry gurus?

Hey, Tony, thanks for the note. To me wedia or we-media is the place where the audience is determining the information agenda, and where participation changes the habits of how, when, where and why information is obtained, sent, mashed and consumed.

My friend Tom http://tomaltman.com/ actually came up with the term wedia, at least he claims to have.

Here is what he says about it: Wedia is a name I came up with to describe what I am trying to do here. I want to use the web, to learn how to build community around the premise of media. So “we” from web and community - “dia” from media.I know - it is corny, but it makes sense for me!
